Abstract

The paper presents a conical obsidian core found on a site near Füzesabony during a fieldwalk session in September 2022. While most collected finds could be assigned to the Late Copper Age Baden Culture, this core differs from the knapped stone relics of the era. The author lines up technological and use-related characteristics to argue for an earlier dating of the find.
