Abstract

There are two finds in Pannonia that were hypothetically identified as pieces of tar or resin by the excavators. One of them was found in the urn of the burial mound in Kemenesszentpéter. The other came to light in a potter’s workshop of the military town of Aquincum. The mouths of several pots and storage jars were also coated with a similar substance.
