Abstract

The treasure find from Pécs-Bányatelep presented in this study is different from the average both in respect of the coins and the goldsmith’s products. Publishing and analysing the two types of constituents is undoubtedly instructive. The hoard find is closed by a coin minted in 1580; it contains a gilded silver chain (Fig. 1.), a hairpin (Fig. 2.), half of a silver clasp (Fig. 3/1.), a pair of gilded silver clasps and two halves (Fig. 3. 2-4), 6 rings (Fig. 4. 1-5.), as well as 87 coins.
