Abstract

Features from the Roman and the Árpádian Periods were found during the rescue excavations of the Dunaföldvár-Bibic alja site in 2008. The Roman part of the site was dated to the 2nd–3rd centuries. Feature no. 10 was the part of a ditch-system found in the northern part of the site. 102 pieces of dog bones came from this feature, a complete dog skeleton and remains of another individual. The two individuals belonged to middle size category, they were robust-built working-dogs.
