Abstract

Roszik-Volovik, X., & Nguyen Luu, L. A. (2020). A nemzetközi hallgatók vizsgálata–a felsőoktatásban való boldogulás és az elégedettség komplexitása. Alkalmazott Pszichológia, 20(4): 139–160. https://doi.org/10.17627/ALKPSZICH.2020.4.139 [Investigating International Students: The Complex Nature of Academic Adjustment, Success, and Satisfaction in Higher Education. Applied Psychology, 20(4): 139–160].
The authors wish to correct inaccuracies in the methodological description of the study and to acknowledge contributions that were inadvertently omitted from the original publication. The methodological section of the study inaccurately states that all interviews were conducted in English. In addition, the study omitted appropriate acknowledgment of the individuals who contributed to the conduction, transcription, and translation of the interviews.

Clarification of the languages of the interviews
The 62 interviews analyzed in the study were conducted in multiple languages. Of the twenty interviews conducted with Iranian participants, eighteen were carried out in Persian and two in English. The fifteen interviews with Turkish participants were conducted in Turkish language. Of the four interviews conducted with Chinese participants, three were carried out in Chinese and one in English. The remaining interviews were conducted in English.
Interviews that were not conducted in English were translated into English. The thematic analysis was based on the transcripts of the interviews conducted in English and on the English translations of interviews conducted in other languages.
A further correction concerns the description of the participants: the analyzed data corpus included an interview with one Norwegian participant, not two.

Clarification of research and analytical roles
The overall research concept, methodology, and interview guide were developed by Lan Anh Nguyen Luu. The thematic analysis of the English-language text corpus comprising 62 interviews, the development of the themes presented in the study, the theoretical framing, the interpretation of the findings, and the preparation of the manuscript were carried out by the study's authors, Xénia Roszik-Volovik and Lan Anh Nguyen Luu.
The interviews with the Iranian participants were conducted and transcribed by a former member of the research team, who also translated the interviews conducted in Persian into English. The interviews with Turkish were conducted and transcribed by Seda Ertürk, who additionally coordinated their translation into English. The interviews conducted in Chinese were conducted, transcribed, and translated into English by Chen Sijun. One English-language interview with a Chinese participant was conducted by Márta Lesznyák.
Additional English-language interviews were conducted with the assistance of Patricia Silvia Ortega, Marett K. Klahn, Gabriella Török, Leila Abdulwahid, Zsuzsa Papp, Laila Rizvi, Ivett Kovács, Millicent Adubofow, Márta Lesznyák, Luhn Frances and Lan Anh Nguyen Luu. Further interviews conducted in English were transcribed by Leila Abdulwahid.

Acknowledgements
The authors wish to express their gratitude to Seda Ertürk for conducting and transcribing the interviews in Turkish language and for coordinating their English translation; to Chen Sijun for conducting, transcribing, and translating the interviews in Chinese; and to Patricia Silvia Ortega, Marett K. Klahn, Gabriella Török, Leila Abdulwahid, Zsuzsa Papp, Laila Rizvi, Ivett Kovács, Millicent Adubofow and Márta Lesznyák for their contributions to data collection and interview transcription.
The authors regret that these contributions were not properly and individually acknowledged in the original publication. The above clarifications do not affect the findings of the published analysis or the conclusions of the study.

Amendment to the Corrigendum – 8 October 2026
The previous version of the corrigendum identified by name the individual who contributed to conducting, transcribing, and translating the interviews with Iranian participants. At the individual's request, their name has been removed. The original inclusion of the individual's name was intended solely to acknowledge their contribution and was not intended to imply that they had consented to the use of the data, the publication of the article, or the corrigendum. The methodological clarification concerning the nature of their contribution remains unchanged.
