Abstract

The ideological and economic structural changes that followed the change of regime opened new ways for religious / denominational space use, and in the social discourse of beliefs. Local and global factors have simultaneously triggered the organic transformation of society and the city. In an more democratic legislative environment, they were among the first to provide for the taking of the State Ecclesiastical Office, the restitution of former ecclesiastical assets in kind, and the redemption of denominations, and the settlement of denominational status. The past 30 years have brought a number of changes, including the tightening of previous legislation, globalization, and changes in the ways in which space is used to inspire research on the topic. The aim for this work was the fact that no study on the sacred space of the city of Budapest has been made. With the expansion of the Internet, the sacred space has also appeared on the, with most denominational communities taking advantage of social media and video sharing. The intertextuality provided by the Web, hyperlinks also make it easier to share religious knowledge and teachings, as well as recruiting and live broadcasting of events in urban space, so the sacred space has "moved into" the homes. The prelude to this was the real-time worship broadcast – the Catholic Church accepts this form of compulsory Mass Listening, when justified.
