Administration of Vas county until conciliation

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to present the feudalism-era public administration of Vas County, which forms the western border region of the country. The limitations of the scope do not allow a detailed analysis, but at least in outline, the research is suitable for analyzing the territorial and population changes of the county, the development of the population of settlements and the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the administrative units from the formation of the territorial unit to the formation of the modern service state. The timeliness of the research is due to the fact that in 2025 we will celebrate the 75th
anniversary of the formation of our current 19-county (castle) county system.
