The escape room of legal theory – introductory thoughts on Nicolás Gómez Dávila's essay De iure

Abstract

This paper presents brief introductory thoughts of the Hungarian translator of Nicolás Gómez Dávila’s essay De iure. Being one of the less-known works of the Colombian philosopher – reknowned mainly for his aphoristic escolios –, this piece was out of focus of scientific research up until very recently. With the publication of the Hungarian translation – apart from presenting the legal thought of Gómez Dávila to a broader audience –, the intention is to contribute to further research in the field of legal theory.
