This study presents Béla Pokol's views on legal science, arguing that true legal scholarship requires a social science approach. It divides the development of legal thought into two main phases, emphasizing the role of legal dogmatics, which is defined as an indispensable part of the legal system but not a science. It proposes reforms in legal education, suggesting that undergraduate studies focus on dogmatics, while master's and doctoral programs build upon complex social science analyses.
