Abstract

The biggest challenge that the GLAMs are facing nowadays, is the proper implementation of the possibilities of the changing IT-landscape. The modern and efficient digital
information services are based today not just on the data elements but on their connections. With using these relations, the users of the GLAMs can be served in a much more
efficient, successful and spectacular way than today. In this study, we introduce the possibilities of making connections between MARC-records and discrete date elements, in
which we can implement not onlyf the traditional solutions, but also the current technologies of the Semantic Web. With these, we are trying to transform the name authority file
and other collection databases of the Petőfi Literary Museum into a relevant, authentic,
findable and successfully usable information source.
