The following article presents the concept of a thematic seminar on intercultural corporate communication from the perspective of "Applied (Germanistic) Linguistics" in German as a Foreign Language Studies. The focus is on exemplary linguistic-functional analyses of current texts in corporate communications. Questions concerning the corpus, methodology and thematic background will be explained. The analyses focus on the German language in companies in Hungary. Numerous interviews were conducted in the context. The text grammatical case study is a newsletter edition of a Hungarian hotel with German speaking guests. The article is rounded off with a proposal for a seminar plan, tips on compiling the corpus (research, excursion) and on topics for individual presentations (with focus on "new text types").
