Abstract

In the summer of 2015, a two-month archaeological excavation was conducted in Komárom, at the Komárom/Szőny-MOL-Kiskertek site. The excavation, carried out by the Klapka György Museum in Komárom and the Institute of Archeological Sciences at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), uncovered a section of the central area of the legionary fortress of Brigetio, yielding a plethora of finds. Among the discoveries were nearly seventy stamped bricks, a group of finds that forms the focus of the present study.
