Abstract

This article presents data on forts investigated archaeologically in the Ruse region, with a particular focus on the medieval period. None of the forts in the region has been fully excavated, but campaigns conducted in recent years by archaeologists from the Ruse Regional History Museum have considerably expanded the body of available information.
