Background and aims: The applied fields of clinical psychology include forensic psychology, the conduct of forensic assessment. The Rorschach test has a special role in Hungarian forensic examination, but there are no standard methodological recommendations in the Hungarian literature. Nevertheless, the Rorschach Inkblot Method has been the subject of several research in the international literature in recent decades, and in the context of the guidelines, there has been a demand for evidence-based use of the test. The research group that renewed the Exnerian tradition and carried out various empirical research, published the foundations and methodology of the Rorschach Performance Assessment System (R-PAS) 12 years ago. The purpose of this paper is to describe the application of this system in the forensic context. It presents international recommendations for forensic work, the evidence- based forensic use of the Rorschach test, and the R-PAS-based answers to common questions in forensic assessments. This paper raises awareness of the evidence-based use of the Rorschach test and could be practical aid to Hungarian forensic experts.
