Songs are an integral part of daily life, just as grammar is a fundamental component in language teaching. Given their authentic nature, numerous advantages, and suitability for grammar instruction, songs can be effectively utilised to teach grammar in the classroom. This paper aims to investigate the possible benefits of song-based grammar teaching in the EFL classroom by examining the views of students and teachers in the field with the help of specifically designed worksheets and revealing factors that influence students’ enjoyment of the selected songs. The study presents the results of a classroom-based study as well as the findings drawn from interviews with teachers of different age groups who have experience using songs in their instruction. Additionally, the paper discusses possible research avenues and pedagogical implications for teaching grammar through songs.
