Reviewing the Persecution Against the Rohingya Refugees

Abstract

The Rohingya is a Muslim minority ethnic community, who have been persecuted systematically and became stateless after enacted the 1982 Citizenship Law of Myanmar, living in the Rakhine state of Myanmar. Myanmar’s exclusionary citizenship laws have led to forced migration and severe human rights abuses for the Rohingya, underscoring the need for urgent international action to address the main causes of statelessness of Rohingya and to ensure justice for them as part of broader global challenges. This research critically reviews the reactions of International Leaders to treating and resolving the Rohingya Humanitarian crisis.
