Correlation analysis of Error Correction Procedures and Metadata of Source Maps

Abstract

At the time of the introduction of the electronic land registry, it is worth revisiting the issue of the accuracy of digital cadastral maps. Although in order to facilitate the transition, the colleagues at the Lechner Knowledge Center carried out numerous data cleanings to ensure the consistency of the digital base maps, the largely digitized database still faces certain challenges in its current state. Land registry departments still carry out the correction of surveying, mapping, and area calculation errors today. The present publication aims to present national statistics of the correction procedures and to find a correlation between the number of procedures and the metadata of the source maps.
