Absztrakt

Jelen írásban az egyik fontos korai sutta, a történeti Buddha első beszédét megörökítő Dhammacakkappavattana-sutta (ʻA Tan kerekének megforgatása’) egyik korai kínai változatának fordítását és kommentárját nyújtom. A korábbi kutatás által kevésbé vizsgált kínai fordítást (T02n109: Fo shuo zhuan falun jing 佛說轉法輪經) a hagyomány An Shigaónak 安世高(i. sz. 2. sz.) tulajdonítja, de ebben az írásban amellett érvelek, hogy a Zhong benqi jing 中本起經 (T196) című munka terminológiájával való hasonlatossága miatt, Kang Mengxiang 康孟詳 (ca. 200 AD) valószínűbb jelölt a fordító személyére.
